North Atlantic Industries and AdvanceTech Showcase First Board Built in India: A Milestone for 'Make in India' and Strengthening India’s Defense Modernization Efforts

Bohemia, NY - December 2024 - North Atlantic Industries (NAI) and AdvanceTech proudly unveil their first circuit board built in India, marking a significant milestone in their collaboration under the "Make in India" initiative. This landmark achievement highlights the technical excellence and manufacturing capabilities of both organizations and further bolsters AdvanceTech's longstanding support to Indian defense forces and modernization programs. Importantly, the Indian-built product is Made in India for India, demonstrating an ability to support Indian defense needs with Indian-made products.

In the photo, Pradip Kulkarni, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of AdvanceTech, and Leo Fridley, COO of North Atlantic Industries, are seen showcasing a brand new circuit board that represents a leap forward in indigenous manufacturing. For over 30 years, AdvanceTech has been a trusted partner to Indian defense forces, contributing to critical programs and supporting the Indian Navy’s ambitious modernization efforts since 2009.

To further strengthen its commitment to the Indian defense sector, last year AdvanceTech established a repair and calibration center in India with a significant investment. This facility, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and staffed by factory-trained engineers, is designed to support the large installed base across the country. It will significantly reduce repair turnaround times, ensuring mission-critical systems remain operational with minimal downtime.

“This achievement celebrates India's growth as a global leader in indigenous manufacturing and technological self-reliance,” said Leo Fridley. “NAI is proud to play a role as a technology partner in this journey, helping AdvanceTech deliver critical capabilities to India's defense sector while maintaining the highest standards of performance and reliability.”

Pradip Kulkarni added, “AdvanceTech has been at the forefront of supporting India’s defense programs for three decades. The investment in the repair and calibration center demonstrates our commitment to not only delivering advanced solutions but also providing robust after-sales support to the Indian defense forces and other critical industries. This partnership with NAI reinforces our dedication to delivering cutting-edge technology while reducing dependencies on external repair and support services.”

The 64C2 circuit board, which has passed all initial functional tests on test equipment back in the United States, will play a pivotal role in advanced applications across aerospace, defense, and industrial systems. This achievement aligns with India's vision to become a self-reliant global powerhouse in high-tech electronics manufacturing.

The partnership underscores India’s "Make in India" mission, focusing on fostering technological innovation, skill development, and robust infrastructure. AdvanceTech and NAI are excited to expand their production and support capabilities, deliver innovative solutions, and continue serving major Indian defense programs while reinforcing their joint commitment to excellence, collaboration, and technology leadership.
