The Assembler/Wirer II plays a key role in supporting the production of high-reliability electronic assemblies through intermediate wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks. Requirements

• Read and interpret moderately complex wiring diagrams, color codes, prints, and wire lists.
• Build wire harnesses and cable assemblies of moderate complexity.
• Wire and solder components within circuits and chassis using standard techniques.

• Apply RTV, conformal coating, epoxy, and potting materials as instructed.

Summary: 

As the 2nd Shift Production Test Lead, you oversee testing operations for Power and I/O electronic products, ensuring that all test processes are executed accurately and efficiently during second shift. You are responsible for supporting test setups, troubleshooting issues, monitoring production floor activity, and ensuring a smooth handoff between first and second shift. Requirements

• Supervise and coordinate daily testing operations performed by test operators on the 2nd shift across Power and I/O product lines.
• Monitor the production test floor to ensure operators are actively engaged and testing is progressing per schedule.

• Serve as the main point of contact for 2nd shift test-related issues, escalating technical concerns as needed to Engineering or Quality.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics testing, preferably in a production environment.
• Prior leadership experience in a production or test environment.
• Ability to read and follow detailed test procedures and work instructions accurately.
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power supplies.
• Experience supporting or coordinating production test activities.

The RMA Technician Lead plays a key role in supporting the analysis and repair of returned high-reliability electronic products through advanced troubleshooting, failure analysis, and technical leadership. Summary:

The Production Operator works in an electronics manufacturing environment assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role involves using computers and equipment to perform daily production tasks. Summary:

Senior Software Engineer I is responsible for the development of software programs that align with the overall goals of our business. It is the responsibility of this individual to ensure that the software development fully aligns with our business needs and identify ways that existing software may be modified to improve functionality. Senior Software Engineer I may be involved with different projects including, but not limited to:

• Board Support Package (BSP) development of software needed to support the Single Board Computer (SBC) product line.
• Development of software including Embedded and Software Support Kit (SSK).
• Testing including Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Automated Testing (ATP) needed to support the motherboard or module products.
• Collaborating with the design and test engineers to develop test plans and test procedures.
• Linux kernel and driver development for BSPs, including creation of drivers from datasheets, porting from one Linux distro to another as well as porting from one Linux kernel version to another, and using tools such as Yocto or Buildroot.

Requirements

• Taking ownership of software-related issues and working toward finding solutions in a timely and efficient manner
• Assisting and designing, coding, and debugging software as needed

• Interfacing with design and test engineers throughout the product development cycle.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Summary:

As a CNC Programmer/Machinist Level II, you are responsible for setting up, programming, and operating all CNC and manual machinery to support production and engineering. You play a key role in shop upkeep, equipment maintenance, and process improvements. Requirements

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate various parts
• Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and setup techniques
• Manage raw material and finished parts inventory in coordination with the Stockroom and Purchasing teams.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and common troubleshooting when a malfunction occurs
• Track and maintain raw material, fixture, and tooling log
• Responsible for the design and implementation of fixturing equipment for both engineering and production purposes
• Responsible for sourcing and maintaining tooling/equipment needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Ability to program 3-axis minimum (4/5-axis optional) CNC toolpaths from step files and 3D models using CAM software
• Ability to design create and build workholding fixtures/assemblies for use in a manufacturing environment
• Strong CAM programming experience/knowledge. Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Fusion.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability and End-use Assembly
• Strong experience/knowledge in complex setups for reworking parts
• Demonstrated knowledge of materials, material strengths, and material uses

Summary:

The Application Engineer II will provide customer technical support in both pre and post sales settings. In addition, he/she will have the ability to communicate internally any product utilization challenges and/or customer specific requirements. The Application Engineer will support our Industries’ products and will report to the AE Manager.

Requirements

• Provide pre & post sales product information, advice and technical assistance to prospects towards the goal of achieving new design wins.
• Via telephone and email correspondence with customer, understand project technical system requirements.
• Advise and participate with the prospect during customer test and evaluation activities.
• Work to develop a position as “first line” technical interface during the design-in process.
• Coordinate additional support activities and post-sales technical support with engineering departments.
• Ensure that documentation, necessary hardware and software revisions, specifications and test data and ancillary technical requests are provided on a timely basis in support of the design-in process.
• Determine product technical strengths and weaknesses vs. competition in design-in contests.
• Communicate internally, product challenges and customer specific requirements for the purpose of resolution.

Major Activities and Tasks:

• Recommendation of specific products based upon the prospect’s application and environmental requirements.
• Identification of customer specific requirements and/or preferences as part of design-in selection.
• Consultation with prospects concerning the appropriate utilization of the company’s products.
• Participation in “troubleshooting” activities for the purpose of determining hardware and/or software problems which could inhibit successful design-in of the company’s products.
• Coordinate technical support for purposes of overcoming design-in difficulties.
• Become familiar with the company’s new products and ensure documentation is current.
• Generate technical design-in status reports.
• Document special customer requirements and/or application utilization needs.
• Attend training courses on new products.
• Inform the account sales person of any competitive information or product difficulties learned from prospects in the design-in process.
• Remain in contact with the customer to ensure continued technical satisfaction with the product(s) chosen for the specific project or program.

Qualifications:

• BSEE / BSET or a four year degree in a technical discipline required.
• Some knowledge of embedded Bus architectures (VME, CPCI, etc.), Processors and/or related products a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical support role desired.

Summary:

The engineering assembler is a senior assembler with broad experience in high-complexity mechanical and electrical

assembly. You work independently on all production types, supports engineering change implementation, lead training

efforts, and act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and quality.

Requirements

• Serve as the go-to technical expert for mechanical and electrical assembly issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on new designs, prototypes, and process improvements.
• Take lead on high-mix, low-volume complex builds and non-standard assemblies.
• Lead root cause analysis of assembly-related defects and develop corrective actions.
• Perform advanced soldering (e.g., fine pitch, coaxial cable termination, PCB rework).
• Champion adherence to IPC standards and conduct internal audits or checks if certified.
• Coordinate training and onboarding for Levels 1 and 2; may support performance evaluations.
• Suggest and implement process or tool improvements that reduce build times or improve quality.
• Maintain compliance and drive best practices in ESD, safety, and ergonomic practices.

Summary:

Working with senior design staff, you will be assisting in solving major and complex engineering problems in one or more phases of a developmental project involving analysis, research design, Hardware circuit design, board bring up, development, fabrication and / or testing of a device or system. The electrical engineer will use schematics, FPGA Design and debug tools to achieve daily work tasks. Conducts the development of each assignment, coordinating engineering personnel assigned to each activity applicable to the particular assignment. Has some latitude for unreviewed action or decision; assignments are broad in nature usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity.

Requirements

• Help design, develop, modify and evaluate complex devices and / or systems. Assist in conceiving methods and alternatives for satisfying product goals, specifications and requirements of the project/assignment.
• Performs original complex analysis and design work of system and component parts in accordance with specifications.
• Designs or selects commercially available equipment, coordinates design results with other design groups: collaborates with other engineers to evaluate the merits of the design and makes changes accordingly.
• Conducts independent technical investigations involving the origination or modifications of material, components, or process specifications and requirements. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Assists in preparation of bids and proposals as required.
• Circuit design and debugging experience with SBCs, CPUs, microprocessors, memory (DDR), SOC, FPGA (VHDL), and bus protocols (such as PCIe, I2C, SPI)

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. 3-8 years’ experience required.

Summary:

A PCB Layout Designer will assist engineers in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of printed circuit boards. In this position, the Layout Designer will be responsible for creating multilayer high-density printed circuit board designs using PCB Layout Tools, per Electrical and Mechanical Engineering input. The fabrication drawing package will be created per IPC and/or Mil spec.

Requirements

• Performs detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards.
• Produces two-dimensional (2D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly.
• Works from schematics, net lists, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by engineering.
• Checks drawings versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards.
• Create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints etc.
• Work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BS in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline or a minimum of five years’ experience preferred.   
• Signal Integrity analysis experience helpful.
• Experience working with Allegro preferred.

Summary:

The Production Operator works in an electronics manufacturing environment assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role involves using computers and equipment to perform daily production tasks. Following instructions and maintaining attention to detail are essential to ensuring the quality of the products. Keeping the workspace clean and organized is a key part of maintaining high production standards. The Production Operator will be trained to operate various machines, including Pick and Place, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Selective Soldering equipment, and hand assembly. Flexibility is important, as the operator frequently moves between tasks and functional areas. Teamwork, punctuality, and communication are critical to the success of this role. 

Requirements

• Organize and label products to ensure proper tracking during production.
• Apply gels and adhesives to components as part of the assembly process.
• Prepare electronic components for assembly into PCBs.

Summary: (VxWorks Project)

Software Engineer III is responsible for assisting the development team with all aspects of software design and coding that align with the overall goals of our business. The duties of the Software Engineer III include attending design meetings. Depending on the software development assignments, this individual may be involved in various projects, including but not limited to:

• Development of Software Support Kit (SSK) packages.
• Design and development of GUI-based QT sample programs and GUI-based Windows test programs.
• Design and development of embedded software applications.
• Kernel and driver development for Board Support Packages (BSPs), including tasks such as creating drivers from datasheets, porting between Linux kernel versions or distributions (e.g., Yocto or Buildroot), and contributing to BSPs for VxWorks 7, HVP, or VxWorks 653.

Requirements

• Assisting the leads with all aspects of software design and coding
• Assisting with the designing, coding, and debugging of software
• Attending and contributing to company development meetings
• Participating and leading code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Working on bug fixes and finding solutions in a timely and efficient manner
• Expanding knowledge of emerging software technologies and apply them to current projects
• Assisting with generation and review of product and design documentation as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred and a minimum of 4 years of engineering and/or software programming experience
• Robust Knowledge of coding languages like C, C++, C#, and/or Java
• Knowledge of basic design principles such as Object-Oriented design and programming
• Familiar with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, PetaLinux, VxWorks, Deos, etc.)
• Ability to work with hardware to develop and debug software which may include using tools like an oscilloscope, multi-meter, logic analyzer and JTAG probe.

Summary:

As a Machinist Intern at North Atlantic Industries, you will assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual machines to support the production of high-reliability electronic systems for the aerospace and defense industries. Your contributions help ensure our precision-manufactured components meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

This Internship is for either Spring or Summer 2026.  

Requirements

• Set up and operate CNC machinery using setup sheets in coordination with the programmer and engineering team.
• Operate manual machines to produce precision parts for electronic assemblies.
• Support inventory tracking and control of raw materials, tooling, and fixtures in collaboration with the Stockroom and Purchasing departments.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and assist with troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in line with 6S manufacturing standards.
• Contribute to the design and fabrication of custom workholding and fixturing for engineering prototypes and production builds.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across the machine shop to enhance throughput and product quality.
• Log and track tooling usage, fixture life cycles, and raw material consumption using internal documentation systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate (Tech school machining program enrollment or degree preferred)
• Experience with manual vertical mill minimum (CNC vertical mill experience preferred)
• Familiarity with CNC vertical mill operations preferred.
• Understanding of G & M code programming (Fanuc control experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of shop safety practices and 6S manufacturing principles.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Entry- to intermediate-level CAM programming experience (GibbsCAM or Fusion 360 ideal).
• Completion of Titans of CNC Academy training is a plus.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints with attention to GD&T standards.
• Experience designing and building fixturing or tooling for use in electronics or mechanical assembly.
• Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices and precision assembly workflows.
• Ability to perform complex machining setups for improved stability and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Work with engineers to facilitate the design of complex digital systems using FPGAs, digital hardware, and embedded software.
• Assist with schematic entry, writing VHDL test benches for FPGA simulations, and hardware/software integration.
• Support circuit testing and assist in basic debugging activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Perform necessary tasks as directed by senior engineers while gaining a greater understanding of digital circuit design techniques.
• Participate in project reviews and collaborate with engineering staff to learn about design tradeoffs and requirements.
