Modified COTS Power Supplies

Modified COTS Power Supplies

Expand diagram for more details on the configurable nature of NAI's Rugged Power Supplies.

North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has over 40 years’ experience providing a wide variety of modified COTS and custom power supplies—including configurations that meet VME, cPCI and VPX (VITA 62) requirements — for rugged defense and industrial applications.

Our Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) leverages a discrete component design approach. This allows our customers to select from a full-feature library (see diagram at right) to create high reliability power solutions that meet their specific requirements - with little or no NRE.

Our use of proven discrete component technology allows:

  • Wider input ranges
  • Higher reliability
  • Lower risk designs
  • More efficient layout of components compared to alternative, pre-packaged product designs.

This approach also provides more control and greater ability to address your special power and signaling needs.

Designs are pre-qualified to MIL-STD-810 & VITA 47 environmental compliance requirements as well as integrated EMI filtering per MIL-STD-461 and input transient protection per MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1399 & MIL-STD-1275.

Below are some examples of modified power products previously designed to meet challenging customer requirements. Please contact us today at +1 631.567.1100 or Request A Quote to discuss your specific needs with an NAI representative.
