NAI’s MIL-STD-1760 communication based smart function modules are for use in NAI’s rugged COTS Multifunction Embedded I/O Boards, Single Board Computers (SBCs), and Configurable Systems offered in OpenVPX, cPCI, VME, and PCI/PCIe configurations.

Modules FTJ and FTK provide a single and dual channel (respectively) dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 communications interface with MIL-STD-1760 compatibility.

Each channel can be configured to act as a Bus Controller (BC), Remote Terminal (RT), or Bus Monitor (BM).

Modules FTJ & FTK

Based on the MIL-STD-1553 signal and interface backbone, MIL-STD-1760 defines a standardized electrical interface to address additional aircraft weapons stores management and as such, includes some special requirements. The FTJ & FTK meet the operational requirements within the general specifications of MIL-STD-1760 as applied to an integrated I/O function module, and include special designed holt transceivers to ensure signal parameter operation and integrity.

Module FTJ provides programmable 1-channel, dual-redundant and transformer-coupled interface.

Module FTK provides programmable 2-channel, dual-redundant and transformer-coupled interfaces.
