North Atlantic Industries (NAI) headquarters is housed in a modern 30,000 square
foot facility in the heart of Long Island in Bohemia NY, and conveniently located
near a major airport. NAI employs approximately 120 highly skilled people.
Manufacturing and Test
NAI's manufacturing facility is geared around a lean-manufacturing philosophy. The

NAI uses ISO9001:2008 certified contractors to build and populate its circuit boards
with components. To assure quality, NAI performs final product assembly, special
processing, and final electrical testing itself. Final test procedures utilize specialized
automatic test equipment.
All production, test, and inspection personnel are certified to IPC-A-610D and J-STD-001D
via a certified in-house trainer (CIT). NAI equipment calibration procedures meet
ANSI/NCSL Z540-1. In addition, we perform a wide range of environmental tests on-site
including burn-in, EMI, temperature cycling, and computer controlled vibration testing.
Quality
NAI's Quality and customer satisfaction is reflected in its registration as an AS9100:2004 and ISO9001:2008 compliant company.
In addition, NAI meets the requirements of Government Specification MIL-I-45208A
and Federal Aviation Regulations FAR21 and FAR 45.15. NAI documents all quality
procedures in detail in its Quality Manual, which is actively reviewed and amended,
as necessary, to provide an up-to-date quality reference source.
Engineering
NAI's electrical and mechanical hardware design and software Engineering team uses
the latest techniques in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), modular architectures,
built-in self-test, embedded programming, thermal design, and high-density packaging.
The products they design achieve industry leadership in functional and power density,
efficiency, self-calibration, programmability, and speed and accuracy performance.
