The 64RT1 Rear Transition Card is for use in VME systems that require reliable, rugged connectors to interconnect the P2 and P0 connectors to the outside world. The beauty of this system is in the variety of mating connectors available. For cable harnesses, you can specify solder cups; for Flex applications you can specify straight pins. Any mating connector can be mechanically secured by means of two jackscrew assemblies. The VME 64 panel contains a side shield and the extractors latch or eject the card. Therefore, there is no need for any screw drivers to mechanically secure the card.
